At SHHS students and staff work together under the banner of our ROAD (Respect, Organisation, Application and Determination) Rules which are the basis of our teaching and learning expectations. Students participate in ROAD events which promote co-operation and collaboration throughout Years 7 to 10. The values expressed through ROAD are actively promoted through the school's merit system.
We are committed to turning student potential into achievement through participation in a wide range of academic, cultural, sporting and social pursuits. This high expectation is supported by pastoral care programs that foster leadership, encourage social responsibility and promote mutual respect. These programs are combined with ongoing strategic planning that constantly searches for even better ways of providing quality education to our students.
